postheadericon German wines arrive

Following Ian and Sylvia’s trip to Rheinhessen in November, Last week saw our annual delivery of German wines arrive.

We import the German wines on the list ourselves, travelling over once a year to taste and select our favourites. Over the years guests have enjoyed the variety of unusual wines and we have enjoyed the challenge of changing guests perceptions of German wine.

Some of our favourites this year were a Silvaner from Franken as well as a Riesling Spatlese and a Spatburgunder from Kurt Erbeldinger in Bechtheim. One of our long term suppliers.

postheadericon Open for the season

Last weekend we re opened to begin our 15th season at Sunnybrae.

After our holiday in November we oversaw some maintainance work in the hotel. A new boiler system has been installed which is also linked in to solar panels. Hopefully we can do our bit for the enviroment aswell as cutting our gas bill!

Since the new year the weather has been very kind to us. While it’s been cold, the snow has not reappeared and we’ve had many beautiful crisp days. Ideal for walking on the beach and admiring the view over the Moray Firth.

Once again we’re really looking forward to the year ahead and look forward to welcome back all our guests regular and new.
